Job summary

Inception is seeking a hands-on Staff Security Engineer to build the security foundation for a frontier AI platform serving enterprise customers. You will own product/API security, enterprise security architecture, and incident response as the company scales.

This senior role expects 6+ years of security engineering, operating as TL/TLM or staff+, with a strong ability to ship security features, write production code, and automate security workflows.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of security engineering experience or equivalent staff-level depth.
• Enterprise-facing product/API security experience.
• Proficient in Python; familiarity with Go/Rust/C++ a plus.
• Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR compliance programs.
• Strong CI/CD, Kubernetes/Docker, IaC, AWS/Azure security practices.

Responsibilities

• Own software security, API security, and threat modeling for customer APIs.
• Drive security architecture, threat modeling, and secure engineering workflows.
• Lead compliance readiness and certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Develop secure tooling and automation to raise the security baseline.
• Partner with engineering teams to balance security with velocity.
