Job summary

Ethena Labs in Sterling, VA is seeking a Staff/Senior Security Engineer to own the signing and treasury security program across wallets and custodian accounts. You will partner with DeFi and trading teams to provide a security perspective while engineering safe, scalable workflows.

You will verify on-chain actions, manage allowlists, monitor wallets, and produce auditable documentation for auditors and counterparties; strong expertise in Solidity, EVM, and real-time risk controls is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience reading contracts and raw calldata across on-chain systems.
• Strong ability to assess security risks in DeFi infrastructures.
• Proven track record producing audit-grade documentation and reports.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end signing regime design, including thresholds and intent communication.
• Maintain and upgrade canonical address and contract allowlist systems.
• Monitor wallets and DeFi positions; align with SOC 2 incident responses.
• Perform independent reviews of protocol integrations and update risk registers.
• Verify ERC-20 approvals and reconcile on-chain activity with accounting.
• Produce documentation for auditors, underwriters and counterparties.
