Assured is hiring a Staff Security Engineer to scale security across our platform, infra, and development workflows. You will partner with engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to embed security into how we build and operate software.

You will design scalable security solutions, lead architecture reviews, and drive threat modeling and incident response programs to protect billions of dollars in claims payments. This role offers remote work in the United States and a path to leadership.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of application and cloud security, including OWASP and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Production-grade coding or automation in Python, Typescript, or similar.
• Hands-on security for AWS, IAM, networking, and containerized workloads.
• Experience with DevSecOps pipelines, SAST/DAST and IaC scanning.
• Security telemetry pipelines using SIEM, observability, or data lakes.
• Penetration testing, threat modeling, or architectural reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead security architecture and design reviews across apps, infra, and integrations.
• Coordinate penetration testing, threat modeling, and security reviews for services and features.
• Build security automation in CI/CD to enforce secure coding and policy.
• Secure cloud platforms (AWS) and enhance identity, network, and workload security.
• Develop security observability, SIEM integrations, and threat signals.
