Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Staff Security Engineer, Cloud & AI Platform, to strengthen cloud and AI platform security in a remote, US-based role. You will partner with engineering to embed security into architecture, infrastructure, delivery workflows, and runtime detections.

Responsibilities include defining security architectures, threat modeling, and evolving multi-account AWS security. You will mentor teams and translate telemetry into detections and responses.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in security or platform systems.
• Proven ownership of production security architecture.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS security practices and configurations.
• Strong Terraform or OpenTofu experience.
• Familiarity with secure CI/CD practices, particularly GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of application security fundamentals and threat modeling.
• Ability to code in Python, Go, Ruby, or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Define and document security architecture for cloud and AI platforms
• Review infrastructure designs for security risks
• Mentor engineering teams on sound security practices
• Evolve AWS security architecture for multi-account environments
• Integrate security checks into developer workflows
