Job summary

Procore is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to join Security Engineering and lead the move toward an autonomous, agentic security posture. You’ll design high-level frameworks and orchestration layers to protect our platform, data, and users with minimal human intervention.

You will partner with Product & Technology, IT, Security Operations, and GRC to define a multi-year strategy for agentic security, building scalable workflows and evaluating emerging tools for production-scale defense.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in hands-on technical security with distributed software.
• Proven track record shipping complex, distributed software.
• Experience with Python or Go at staff level.

Responsibilities

• Define Agentic Identity & Governance, including IAM/OIDC, secrets, and least-privilege guards.
• Lead autonomous vulnerability eradication with self-healing agents.
• Secure the AI infrastructure with sandboxing and prompt-injection firewalls.
• Design the agentic fabric and multi-agent orchestration layer.
• Drive the agentic roadmap moving to autonomous model.
• Lead evaluations of new agentic security platforms at scale.
• Advanced threat modeling for microservices and cloud architectures.
• Mentor and scale agentic thinking across Security and Engineering.
