Job summary

Procore is seeking a Security Engineer II to join the Security Engineering team in Austin, TX. You will build autonomous security agents that replace manual toil, implementing, testing, and operating them end-to-end.

Collaborate with engineers and security teams to own tools, guardrails, and evals, while scaling production monitoring and on-call support. This role emphasizes shipping reliable code, credential hygiene, and agent-based workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years in hands-on security or infrastructure engineering.
• Proficiency in Python or Go with tests, code review, and CI.
• Experience with agentic tools or LLm-powered tools and tool-calling.

Responsibilities

• Build & Ship Security Agents: implement and deploy agents end to end.
• Extend the Tool Surface: write and maintain tool-call interfaces in Python or Go.
• Evaluate & Harden: build eval suites to measure agent accuracy and catch regressions.
• Automate Security Toil: convert IAM findings, cloud misconfigs, and Kubernetes drift into autonomous workflows.
• Implement Agent Identity Hygiene: manage short-lived credentials and audit trails.
• Operate the Fleet: monitor production agents for cost, latency, and false positives; fix root causes in code.
• Autonomous Asset & SBOM Workflows: contribute to asset discovery and SBOM generation pipelines.
• Review, Document & Support: document logic and provide on-call support for owned systems.
