Job summary

Ridgeline seeks a Staff Security Engineer to lead AI-augmented detection and incident response across AWS and the broader tech stack. You will architect detection pipelines, own the DART roadmap, and partner with engineering and leadership to drive secure, scalable operations.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in security ops or software engineering, strong Python (or Kotlin/TypeScript), and experience with MITRE ATT&CK, SIEM/SOAR, and CI/CD. You will mentor colleagues and shape secure AI practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in detection, security operations, incident response, or software engineering with leadership experience.
• Proficiency in Python (preferred) or similar high-level language; experience with AI/LLM-driven systems.
• Experience authoring detections mapped to attacker frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK) and building detection-as-code pipelines.
• Strong AWS experience across logging/telemetry and security tooling; Terraform and CI/CD practice familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Shape the DART roadmap based on priorities and threat models.
• Architect AI-powered detection and triage pipelines with low false positives.
• Own incident response program and guide leadership during major events.
• Collaborate on SIEM/SOAR designs and integration strategies.
• Set standards for responsible AI usage and mentor junior engineers.
