The Mulholland lab at the Neuroscience Department of MUSC is seeking a talented staff scientist to join the Charleston Alcohol Research Center. We seek an individual with neuroscience experience to lead projects on alcohol effects on the brain and related behavioral deficits, leveraging techniques from electrophysiology to omics.

This role advances basic and translational research in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of research experience post-doctorate.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead behavioral studies in mice and train staff.
• Perform and supervise molecular biology techniques and assays.
• Oversee lab operations, safety and inventory management.
• Collaborate on data analysis, manuscript preparation and grant support.
• Maintain and develop rodent colonies and experimental models.
