Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree in physics, chemistry, materials science and engineering, or another discipline relevant to nanofabrication, nanotechnology and nanoscience.
• At least 5 years of professional experience with nanofabrication, including at least 3 years focused on microelectronics fabrication.
• Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication and ability to collaborate across groups.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead a robust independent nanofabrication research program aligned with the Molecular Foundry themes.
• Leverage and maintain nanofabrication tools in a class 100 cleanroom for academic and industrial users.
• Develop functional materials for CMOS and beyond with sub-10 nm patterning.
• Collaborate with Foundry staff and energy and material science divisions to advance the microelectronics program.
• Mentor students and postdocs and contribute to publications and conferences.
