The position requires a PhD and 5+ years in nanofabrication, with strong collaboration across the Energy Sciences Area.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant field with nanofabrication focus.
• 5+ years in nanofabrication, including 3+ years in microelectronics fabrication.
• Strong oral and written communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to develop independent, multi-disciplinary research programs.
• Record of publications and/or patents relevant to nanoscale materials.
• Safety-minded with experience in laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead a robust nanofabrication program aligned with microelectronics themes.
• Develop external funding and build a world-class user program for the Foundry.
• Contribute to tool maintenance, new methods, and user support.
• Collaborate across Foundry divisions and with Energy Sciences Area researchers.
• Publish results and present at conferences; mentor students and staff.
• Maintain a safe work environment and promote best practices.
