Job summary

TJFACT LLC is seeking a Staff Scientist - SME to join the National Coordination Office of the Networking and Information Technology Research and Development (NCO NITRD) program in the Washington, DC area. The role supports day-to-day operations, policy discussions, and interagency projects across multiple federal agencies.

The position requires a PhD and strong analytical/written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of AI, robotics, and autonomous systems. U.S.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship and eligibility for US government clearance.
• PhD in a scientific discipline (physics, materials science, chemistry, biology) or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and writing abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Extensive knowledge of AI, intelligent robotics, autonomous systems, and related gov actions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing meetings, identify agencies for participation, and help develop scoping documents and reports.
• Draft, edit, and produce updates, summaries, and official reports for Congress and Federal leaders.
• Interact with leaders and scientists from Federal agencies, NSTC, OSTP and OMB.
• Lead projects and teams on topics reflecting national priorities; monitor interagency activities.
• Edit and produce documents meeting NSTC standards and White House Style Guide.
