Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and guidelines, within the scope defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, at our Atlanta area hospital. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program, hold a Georgia RN license in good standing, and possess BLS certification.

A BSN is preferred, with about two years of RN experience and additional life-support credentials

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Performs nursing duties within the scope of practice and hospital policies, collaborating with the health care team to ensure safe, effective patient care.
