Job summary

Northside Hospital's Northside Midtown Surgery Center is seeking an experienced RN for PACU on evenings in Atlanta. You will independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients under physician orders and adhere to established guidelines, with focus on postoperative recovery.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program, licensed as an RN in Georgia in good standing, and BLS certified, with 2+ years of RN experience in PACU or related units preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders.
• Adhere to established guidelines and Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
