Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care per physician orders and established guidelines. The RN will operate within the Georgia Nurse Practice Act scope of practice and must be licensed in Georgia with BLS certification.

Preferred qualifications include a BSN and two years of RN experience, with additional life-support credentials and color-vision acuity as needed by unit.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and guidelines.
• Works within the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

Knowledge, skills and abilities, license or certification required:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Knowledge skills and abilities/license or certification preferred:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
