Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Operating Room to join our team on a full-time day schedule (6:45 am - 7:15 pm) with call required. You will provide compassionate, patient-centered perioperative care, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the OR team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from a nursing program.
• Previous OR or critical care experience required.
• Current License in the state of Georgia as a registered nurse (RN).
• BLS and ACLS Certification required. Must obtain certifications through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the operating room throughout the perioperative period.
• Follow policies and procedures to maintain patient safety and quality of care.
• Coordinate patient care activities with the OR team and monitor patient status during shifts.

Responsibilities:

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• Must have graduated from a nursing program.
• Previous experience in the operating room or critical care setting.
• Current License in the state of Georgia as a registered nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
• BLS Certification is required. Must obtain certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• ACLS Certification is required. Must obtain certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
