Job summary

Northside Hospital, Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to patients under physician orders and established guidelines. You will work within the Georgia Nurse Practice Act scope, ensuring high-quality patient care on a 7p-7:30a shift with rotating weekends.

Required: Georgia RN license in good standing and BLS certification. BSN preferred; 2 years RN experience; additional Life Support or specialty certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two years of RN experience preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP or other clinical certifications encouraged.
• Color vision may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Works within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
