Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in our Atlanta area facilities, following physician orders and established guidelines. The RN will operate within Georgia Nurse Practice Act and scope of practice, ensuring high-quality patient care.

The role works 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a rotating weekend schedule, requiring current GA RN licensure in good standing and BLS certification; a BSN and ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in GA in good standing.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care per physician orders and guidelines.
• Comply with Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Work Hours:

7pm-7:30am
