Job summary

Northside Hospital seeks a Registered Professional Nurse to provide skilled nursing care in the Atlanta, GA area. You will plan and execute patient care in alignment with physician orders and established guidelines, adhering to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The role requires RN licensure in Georgia, a current BLS certification, and graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN is preferred, with possible ACLS/PALS/NRP or other specialty credentials.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two years of experience as an RN preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP or other clinical specialty certifications preferred where applicable.
• Color vision requirement varies by unit.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Professional Nurse independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Adheres to the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

++KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:++

• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• ++KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:++

• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).

• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
