Job summary

Northside Hospital in Georgia seeks a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide nursing care per physician orders and established guidelines, within Georgia Nurse Practice Act scope. Eligible candidates must graduate from an accredited school of nursing, hold a Georgia RN license in good standing, and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred BSN and 1 year RN experience with additional life support credentials.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
2. Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. One (1) year of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
