Froedtert Holy Family Memorial in Manitowoc is hiring for a nursing position primarily responsible for planning and providing direct care to a group of patients. The ideal candidate should have a graduate degree in nursing, and a valid Wisconsin RN license, along with BLS and ACLS certifications.

This role includes various specialized experience requirements depending on the unit. The position offers on-site work with opportunities for ongoing professional development and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

Job Type / Shift

On-site. FTE: 0.6. Shift 1.

Weekend Program opportunity: Every Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM.

Job Summary

Plans, organizes, coordinates, and provides direct nursing care for an identified group of patients according to specific standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current unrestricted Wisconsin RN license.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent required upon hire.
• ACLS required within first year of hire.
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Preferred PALS and TNCC certifications.

Specialized Experience (depending on unit)

• Critical Care: At least one year experience in Med/Surg required; prefer experience in ER and/or CCU nursing.
• Emergency Services: At least one year experience in Med/Surg required; new graduates with Paramedic experience considered; ACLS required within first year of hire. PALS and TNCC preferred.
• Women’s and Children’s Center: None required; prefer one year experience in Med/Surg, Pediatric and/or OB nursing; NRP certification required within first year of hire.
• Specialty Float: At least one year experience in Med/Surg required; ER and/or CCU experience preferred; float between CCU, ER, and PACU; ACLS required within first year of hire.
• General Float: At least one year experience in Med/Surg required; float between Med/Surg, Surgery Center, and Post Partum.
• Medical/Surgical: None required; one year experience in Medical Surgical nursing preferred.
• Prep & Holding/PACU: Prefer at least two years experience in CCU, Cardiac Rehab, ER, or in Surgical Services nursing; ACLS required within first year of hire.
• Surgery Center / Special Procedures: Prefer two years experience in Med/Surg and/or Ortho nursing; Ambulatory Per-Anesthesia nursing certificate and ACLS preferred.
• Surgical Services: Operating Room: None required; prefer two to three years experience in Surgical/Ortho and/or Operating Room nursing; Operating Room Nurse certificate preferred.
• Cancer Center: Minimum of 2 years RN experience required; preferred experience in Med/Surg and/or Oncology.
