Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Cardiovascular Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care to cardiac patients in the Congestive Heart Failure Clinic. You will monitor patients, provide education, and support care in alignment with Northside Hospital's standards.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited nursing program with a current Georgia RN license and BLS certification. Additional life support credentials and unit-specific experience are welcome.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Georgia RN license or Multistate License (NLC/eNLC).
• Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Provide monitoring, support and patient education to congestive heart failure patients.
• Act as a nursing resource within the Congestive Heart Failure Clinic and support patient care per Northside Hospital policies.

The Cardiovascular RN provides high quality patient care to the cardiac patient in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. The Cardiovascular RN acts as a nursing resource as it relates to their area of responsibility in the Congestive Heart Failure Clinic and will support patient care by providing monitoring, support and patient education to congestive heart failure patient population.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nursing Compact (NLC/eNLC) orMultistate License
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Five (5) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) at Northside.
4. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
5. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
