Job summary

Northside Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, within the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The role requires current RN licensure in Georgia and BLS certification. Preferred candidates may have a BSN and 2 years of RN experience, with additional life support certifications (ACLS, PALS) and specialty credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in the State of Georgia in good standing.
• Current BLS certification per American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and guidelines.
• Adhere to established practice scope and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
