Job summary

Northside Hospital in Georgia seeks a Registered Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care in alignment with physician orders and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program, licensed RN in GA in good standing, and BLS certified; preferred candidates include a BSN and at least 2 years of RN experience, plus additional Life Support credentials or clinical specialty certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Heart Association.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
