Job summary

Grant Medical Center is seeking a Staff RN for the Intensive Care Unit. The role provides general nursing care across the health-illness continuum, with collaboration among the health care team.

You will follow Ohio Board of Nursing standards and perform duties within a High Reliability Organization framework to ensure safety and quality. The position is a full-time day shift, 36 weekly hours, in an ICU department.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Nurse license (RN) in Ohio.
• CPR certification as per unit policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and document findings.
• Implement and evaluate nursing care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Contribute to safety, quality, and efficiency improvements as part of the unit.
• Provide direct patient care in the ICU setting.
• Assist with care coordination and family communication.

He/She is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.**Responsibilities And Duties:**Assessment/Diagnosis - Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual (30%). Outcomes Identification/Planning - Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs (30%). Implementation/Evaluation - Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data (20%).
