Job summary

Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY seeks a Staff Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care, assess needs, develop and implement care plans, and supervise other staff.

You will administer medications, monitor patient health, educate patients and families, document care, uphold nursing standards, and ensure safety. Float pool differential of $2.50/hr and sign‑on bonus up to $24,000 are available; day shift, 12-hour rotations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Previous hospital RN experience is preferred.
• BLS required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and supervise other nursing staff.
• Administer medications, monitor patient health, educate patients and families, and document patient care.
• Adhere to nursing regulations and ensure patient safety, with strong leadership and teamwork.
• May assume duties as a charge nurse and communicate effectively with the care team.
