Job summary

Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY is seeking an experienced Staff RN (RN) for the ICU/CCU to provide direct patient care and lead nursing activities. You will assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and coordinate with the health care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires RN licensure, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and BLS certification or eligibility within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license or eligibility in NY.
• BLS certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Hospital RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ICU/CCU.
• Assess patient needs and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor health.
• Educate patients and families; collaborate with healthcare team.
• Document patient care and ensure safety.
• Assist with patient lifting and moving as needed.
• Lead and supervise other staff; may serve as charge nurse.

They administer medications, monitor patient health, educate patients and families, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. RNs also document patient care, adhere to nursing regulations, and ensure patient safety.Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.Previous hospital RN experience is preferred.BLS required or obtained within 3 months of hire.Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles.
