Job summary

Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY seeks a Staff RN for the Specialty Float Pool. You will provide direct patient care, rapidly assess needs, and coordinate care plans while supervising teammates across units.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring health, and educating patients and families. The role requires an NYS RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS within 3 months, IV/IV contrast certification, coronary care training, and 2 years’ ICU/PCU/Telemetry/ED experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current NYS RN license.
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS within 3 months of hire.
• IV and IV contrast administration certification required.
• Coronary care course or orientation exam within orientation period.
• 2 years ICU/PCU/Telemetry/ED experience within 2 years.
• Demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Float to Emergency, ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg as needed.

They administer medications, monitor patient health, educate patients and families, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. RNs also document patient care, adhere to nursing regulations, and ensure patient safety.· Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.· Current NYS RN license.· BLS required.
