Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The RN must be licensed in Georgia in good standing and hold BLS certification.

The shift is 7P-7A with rotating weekends. The ideal candidate has a BSN preferred and two years of RN experience; ACLS/PALS/NRP or other certifications are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Professional Nurse independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines, within the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
