Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse for a night shift. You will independently plan and provide professional nursing care per physician orders and established guidelines, within the Georgia Nurse Practice Act guidelines.

Required GA RN license and BLS certification are essential; BSN is preferred with potential for advancement; weekend shifts are required and on-call is not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing.
• Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
