Job summary

Northside Hospital seeks a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The RN will manage care for an assigned group of patients, upholding Northside Hospital's values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment while delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in Georgia in good standing.
• Two years of RN experience.
• CDCES or within two years of hire date.
• Visual color acuity as role requires.
• BLS certification at minimum.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care per physician orders.
• Care for an assigned group of patients in line with Northside Hospital policies.
• Collaborate with team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Northside Hospital Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
4. Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or within two (2) years of hire date.
5. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
6. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. One (1) year experience in Diabetes Care/Education
3. Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)
