Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients under physician orders and established guidelines, in alignment with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The position requires being a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active Georgia RN license in good standing, and BLS certification; BSN and ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred as added qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and guidelines.
• Adhere to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
