Job summary

Crescent Energy is seeking a Staff Reservoir Engineer in Houston to support asset development across our unconventional portfolio. You will focus on development planning, production forecasting, and performance evaluation to optimize capital efficiency and recovery.

The role requires collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, experience in Unconventional reservoirs, and strong proficiency with ARIES and Whitson+. You will engage with Finance to align budgets and long-term plans.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
6+ years of upstream operator experience, with at least 3 years in reservoir engineering.
Experience in Unconventional Reservoirs.
Proficiency in RTA software, specifically Whitson+.
Ability to leverage Generative AI tools for engineering problem-solving and data analysis.
Strong ARIES experience for economic evaluation and decline curve analysis.

Responsibilities

Develop recommendations on well spacing, landing zones, completion design, and production practices to maximize asset value.
Perform field-level economic analyses for AFEs and field development using ARIES.
Create production forecasts, type curves, and development cases for assigned assets.
Evaluate reservoir performance using rate transient, pressure transient analysis and numerical simulation as needed.
Lead integrated lookbacks connecting reservoir performance with drilling and operating outcomes.
Collaborate with Land, Commercial, and Finance to assess opportunities and optimize asset portfolio.
