Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Staff Reliability Engineer to lead the design and implementation of robust, observable, and scalable systems across our e-commerce and in-store platforms.

You will establish blueprints for observability, automation, and cloud infrastructure, drive tool selection, SLOs, and post-incident reviews while mentoring engineers and guiding cross-team reliability initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience in Cloud Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Software Engineering.

Responsibilities

• 50% Delivery and Execution - Develops, tests, deploys, and maintains software with clear value; delivers under pressure; creates test suites for rapid production deployment.
• 10% Learns and Grows - Seeks challenges via formal and informal development channels; learns from experiments.
• 20% Plans and Aligns - Improves processes, communicates across audiences, collaborates with Product team, ensures user stories are tester-ready.
• 20% Supports and Enables - Answers questions from product/engineering, mentors juniors, identifies team gaps and suggests improvements.
