Aurora Health's WI Float Pool (Multi-Site) is seeking Medical Surgical (Med Surg) Registered Nurses to join our stellar team of float nurses!

Experience: 1 year Medical Surgical RN experience; 2 years Med Surg RN experience preferred.

Night shift positions require scheduling 2 Fridays and 24 hours of weekends every 6 weeks (all hours are self-scheduled).

The Float Pool RN will:

Major Responsibilities include:

• Assess patient needs, plan and implement care, involve family, and maintain therapeutic relationships.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Implement safety strategies, assess learning needs, and coordinate discharge plans.
• Evaluate outcomes, promote safety, and participate in quality initiatives.
• Communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and collaborate with team members.
• Maintain a culture of safety and participate in professional development.

Licensure, Registration, and Certification:

• RN license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.

Education: Completion of an accredited nursing program.

Experience: Typically 1 year in clinical nursing.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Holistic patient care, recognizing situational changes, proficient in electronic records, excellent communication, and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, perform transfers, and work in various physical positions.
