Job Description & Requirements

As an Emergency Department RN, you will perform patient assessments, develop and evaluate care plans, collaborate with healthcare teams, and monitor patient progress. Responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting patient assessments and reassessments
  2. Performing triage assessments in emergencies
  3. Assessing injury causation and reporting neglect or abuse
  4. Formulating care plans with interdisciplinary teams
  5. Verifying, documenting, and administering medications
  6. Providing health education to patients and families
  7. Evaluating patient outcomes and documenting interventions

Requirements include:

  • 1+ year ED nursing experience (preferred)
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor’s preferred
  • Current Texas RN license or Compact license (with Texas license within 90 days)
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS or ALS certification
  • PALS or ENCP certification
  • TNCC certification
