Job summary

The role acts as a Sensor SME, guiding conception, development, and validation of advanced sensing modalities, and partners with physicians, engineering teams, suppliers, and collaborators

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
• 4+ years of medical device product development experience.
• Experience developing, integrating, or evaluating sensing technologies.
• Experience leading technical projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience translating clinical needs into engineering requirements.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Lead research, evaluation, and integration of novel sensing technologies for vascular catheters.
• Identify unmet clinical needs and translate insights into design concepts.
• Lead concept-stage R&D projects through feasibility, prototyping, testing, and maturation.
• Translate needs into engineering specs, architectures, and designs.
• Develop, modify, and verify catheter-based components and sensing tech.
• Prototype, assemble, test, and iterate to validate feasibility and value.
• Apply engineering principles to sensors and electromechanical systems.
• Collaborate with physicians, suppliers, and stakeholders to evaluate tech.
• Create and maintain DHF, risk assessments, and technical reports.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical strategy on concept projects.
