Stryker is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer for the Peripheral Vascular Division in Irvine, CA. You will join a multi-disciplinary team to conceive, develop, integrate, and evaluate electro-mechanical architectures across our portfolio.

You will partner with physicians and cross-functional teams to define requirements, assess feasibility, and accelerate product development for future devices, with a focus on catheter technologies and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Biomedical) is required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with catheter-based medical devices is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support development of next-generation peripheral vascular technologies through concept generation and prototyping.
• Research, design, modify, and verify catheter-based device components with minimal supervision.
• Translate inputs and needs into engineering specifications and designs.
• Prototype and analyze solutions to validate feasibility and clinical value.
• Iterate concepts based on effectiveness, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Apply engineering principles to solve catheter and electromechanical challenges.
• Use CAD/CAE to model components and produce drawings and docs.
• Create and refine Design History Files per design control procedures.
