Job summary

Unity Technologies is seeking a Staff Quality Engineering Lead to define the quality bar for our Gaming AI products and to build AI-assisted testing and evaluation systems across the organization. You will own end-to-end quality for frontend, backend, and related systems, ensuring that releases meet strict performance, reliability, and cost targets while accelerating developer workflows.

You will lead the development of AI-assisted code review, automated remediation, and feature-test coverage

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software quality engineering or quality leadership for multi-team environments.
• Hands-on use of AI and agent tooling in software lifecycle: AI-assisted code review and test generation.
• Experience designing evaluation methods for non-deterministic outputs and cost-aware quality.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality strategy for Gaming AI and establish release criteria across frontend, backend, and dependent systems.
• Build AI-native quality systems including AI-assisted code review, automated remediation, and auto-generated tests.
• Drive evaluation methodologies for non-deterministic AI outputs with multi-run sampling and multi-judge calibration.
• Tie quality to creator outcomes by building measurement chains linking generation to user-focused results.
• Turn defects into intelligence with triage, grouping, deduplication, and prioritization for rapid remediation.
• Shift quality upstream by embedding practices in requirements and design stages.
• Drive cross-discipline adoption of quality tooling and processes to empower teams.
• Own the release decision under time-to-market pressure with clear risk tradeoffs.
• Represent quality in technical strategy and alignment with Unity AI roadmaps.
