Job summary

Grocery TV in Austin, TX is seeking a Staff QA Engineer to own quality across software platforms, from hands-on testing to process ownership. You will champion quality across Product, Engineering and Support, ensuring QA is a shared responsibility rather than a single gate.

The role blends individual contributor testing with process leadership, collaboration, and team development, reporting to the CTO. 8+ years of QA experience and strong cross-functional impact are expected.

Qualifications

• 8+ years software QA experience with ownership of QA process design.
• Experience leading bug triage and prioritization frameworks.
• Proven cross-functional influence across Product, Engineering and Support.
• Strong bug tracking and test documentation experience.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and AI QA tools.
• Clear process documentation and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end manual test planning and execution across platforms.
• Design and improve QA processes, triage workflows and priority frameworks.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Product as the primary QA liaison.
• Drive quality culture and ensure test coverage across configurations.
• Coordinate release procedures and act as final QA gate.
• Provide regular testing status reports to stakeholders.
• Validate functionality across environments and feature flags.
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and test automation status.
• Lead bug triage meetings and prioritize issues by impact.
• Maintain test scenarios and defect documentation in tools.
