Job summary

micro1 is seeking a Staff-level engineer to design and build an intelligent, automated quality engineering system. AI agents will help generate tests, run regression suites, investigate failures, and continuously improve test coverage.

You will own the foundations for scalable QA that allows rapid, confident shipping without extra QA headcount. You will lead the design of agentic QA workflows, architect automation across web apps, APIs and end-to-end flows, and embed quality deeply into CI/CD

Qualifications

Staff-level engineer with deep test automation expertise and strong software fundamentals.
Experience designing scalable QA architectures and automation frameworks.
Track record of integrating quality into CI/CD and release processes.

Responsibilities

Build agentic QA systems: AI-powered workflows for test generation and regression testing.
Own test automation architecture across web apps, APIs, integrations, and end-to-end workflows.
Integrate automated quality checks into development workflows and release pipelines.
Automate regression and triage to reduce manual failure investigations.
Raise testing intelligence by identifying coverage gaps and prioritizing scenarios.
Design QA for scale to handle growing product complexity and velocity.
Establish quality observability with visibility into reliability and trends.
Mentor engineers and set testing standards across the org.
