Job summary

Jobgether SRL seeks a Staff Software Engineer (Python) to drive a senior backend-focused role in a fast-moving environment. You will shape scalable data products and distributed systems, with 70% backend work and 20–30% frontend contributions.

You will mentor engineers and set engineering direction, collaborating with Product, Design, and Data Science to translate business needs into robust technical solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing and building distributed backend systems, microservices, APIs, and/or data processing systems using Python.
• Deep experience owning system architecture and making complex technical tradeoffs that emerge as systems scale.
• Proven ability to partner with Product Managers, Designers, and Data Scientists to shape product direction as well as technical implementation.
• Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment requiring breadth, autonomy, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to transform ambiguous product requirements into robust technical architectures and production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale data-driven products and an experimentation platform for near-real-time processing.
• Define technical direction for real-time data ingestion and processing as systems evolve.
• Lead AI-powered workflows and integration systems across data ingestion and exports.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to design and architecture reviews to raise technical standards.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data Science to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Help drive reliability, maintainability, and performance across backend and data pipelines.
