Hidden Jobs seeks a senior software engineer to build Python-based AI services for a large, global professional services firm. You will develop scalable back-end systems using FastAPI and Pydantic, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with client stakeholders.

The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, exploring multi-modal AI models, retrieval-augmented pipelines, and cloud-native microservices in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive software development experience with deep Python and FastAPI expertise.
• Hands-on use of Pydantic for data validation and schema definition in Python services.
• Strong knowledge of asyncio and asynchronous/parallel programming.
• Experience applying generative AI and large language models to real-world problems, including building agentic AI applications.
• Understanding of retrieval-augmented generation pipelines and hybrid search over vector databases.
• Proven troubleshooting and debugging skills with attention to detail and ability to self-manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements analysis, system design, Python and AI development, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and ongoing technical support.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable Python applications using FastAPI and Pydantic.
• Implement asynchronous and parallel patterns with asyncio to keep services responsive under load.
• Drive code quality through thorough reviews against established guidelines.
• Integrate and experiment with multi-modal generative AI models and agentic AI applications.
• Coordinate daily technical work, mentor engineers, and liaise with client stakeholders.
