Job summary

University Health Services Counseling Center at UMass Boston is seeking a Staff Psychologist and Coordinator of Clinical Training to provide high-quality clinical services and to lead practicum training. The role requires APA-accredited doctoral training and licensure in Massachusetts, with 3–5 years

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate from an APA-accredited program in counseling or clinical psychology and an APA-accredited internship or doctorate in similar field; licensed or license eligible as a psychologist in Massachusetts; 3–5 years post-degree experience delivering evidence-based and culturally responsive crisis intervention, evaluation and treatment.
• Experience delivering services to underserved populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, time-efficient, evidence-based clinical services including triage, crisis intervention, referrals, individual and group counseling.
• Produce and maintain clinical records and participate in quality management activities.
• Manage a clinical caseload to serve maximum number of students appropriate for services.
• Consult with University Health Services staff and coordinate referrals to meet students' needs.
• Serve as liaison for faculty and staff on counseling programs; collaborate to coordinate planning with campus departments.
• Lead practicum orientation and supervise trainees; oversee chart reviews and trainee placement.
• Oversee annual evaluation of practicum and advanced practicum.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
