Job summary

UMass Boston's University Health Services Counseling Center seeks a Staff Psychologist and Coordinator of Clinical Training to deliver triage, crisis intervention and individual/group therapy, while guiding practicum programs and coordinating trainee orientation.

The role requires a doctorate in psychology, MA licensure or eligibility, and 3–5 years of experience with diverse student populations. Responsibilities include data collection, policy adherence and cross-campus collaboration.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate from an APA-accredited program in counseling or clinical psychology with an APA-accredited internship or equivalent.
• Massachusetts license or license-eligible as a psychologist; Health Service Provider credential is preferred.
• 3–5 years of post-degree experience in crisis intervention, evaluation and treatment for young adults or adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage, crisis intervention and evidence-based individual and group therapy.
• Maintain timely clinical records and participate in quality management activities.
• Manage a clinical caseload to maximize student access to services at UHS Counseling Center.
• Consult with campus staff and refer to other professionals as needed to meet student needs.
• Lead practicum training for students; coordinate orientation and supervise trainees.
• Oversee data collection and evaluation of practicum activities and trainee performance.
