Job summary

Chris Baily in New York is seeking a Staff Accountant to own a portfolio of commercial real estate properties, handle full-cycle accounting, and contribute to acquisitions and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of commercial real estate or property accounting experience.
• Experience using Yardi Voyager or comparable real estate accounting software.
• Strong understanding of month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting activities for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, lease administration, and CAM reconciliations.
• Partner with property managers and leadership to support reporting and financial performance initiatives.
• Assist with new property onboarding, accounting process improvements, and system enhancement projects.
