Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field (required).
• 10+ years in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement or electronics/mechanical design.
• Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO at component/product level.
• Ability to travel 30%.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Relocation to onsite Ashville, OH if not local.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier selection for a specific product using approved supplier list.
• Collaborate with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development (requirements, trade-off, should-cost, joint design).
• Coordinate with Product Support Engineers on supply chain visions and localization initiatives.
• Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Quality & Manufacturing to ramp production.
• Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and drive value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and flexibility.
• Conduct BOM risk assessments and ensure component qualifications ahead of production.
• Lead cost engineering to converge bottom-up costs to product cost and optimize TCO.
• Address ad-hoc cost issues (tariffs, import/export costs, inflation).
