Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA, is seeking a Product Sourcing Engineer to drive strategic supply network development and cost management across product lifecycles. You will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams—engineering, quality, and manufacturing—to ensure cost-effective, timely delivery while optimizing BOM and cost structures.

This role requires 3+ years in sourcing engineering with a focus on electronics or mechanical devices, travel up to 40%, and onsite relocation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development for electronics or mechanical devices.
• Knowledge of value / procurement engineering or TCO at component/product level.
• Willingness to travel 10–40% of the time.
• Onsite relocation to Costa Mesa, CA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection using approved supplier list.
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via concepts, trade-offs, should-cost models, and joint design.
• Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOM with Quality & Manufacturing to enable production with flexibility.
• Manage CAPEX during NPI.
• Perform value-stream mapping to optimize lead times and flexibility.
• Complete BOM risk assessments with alternate sourcing.
• Ensure component qualifications ahead of production.
• Reduce complexity through commonality and supplier rationalization.
• Lead cost engineering to converge cost curves toward product cost and total cost of ownership.
• Manage ad-hoc cost issues including tariffs and cost inflation.
