Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Staff Product Security Engineer for Cloud CISO in Kirkland, WA. You will embed within product teams to co-design secure cloud products and infrastructure, review secure development practices, and guide security strategy.

The role requires 8+ years in security engineering, threat modeling, security design reviews, and leading technical teams. Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication are essential.

About the job

Our Security team works to create and maintain the safest operating environment for Google's users and developers. Security Engineers work with network equipment and actively monitor our systems for attacks and intrusions. In this role, you will also work with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities.

The Product Security Engineering function within Cloud CISO Security Engineering aims to deliver secure software through direct deployments within our most critical product initiatives.

In this role, you will take an active role in the delivery of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products - co-architecting and co-developing features and infrastructure critical to the security of those products along the way. You will inform product threat models, devise security testing strategies, and ensure robust and defensible technical architectures are built into our products from the start. You will have the opportunity to create and evolve development practices to ensure GCP products are secure by design and by construction, while partnering with amazing security, privacy, and engineering teams across Google.
