Harvey in San Francisco is seeking a Staff Software Engineer on the Product Security team to build security directly into the product and protect our customers' most sensitive data. You will balance hands-on work with cross-functional leadership in a fast-growing AI-native company.

The role focuses on defining the product security roadmap, elevating security across Engineering, Product and Design, and mentoring junior engineers to raise the security bar at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product security or security-focused software engineering.
• Experience delivering production software end to end.
• Experience leading cross-functional security initiatives.
• Ability to communicate security risks in business terms.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the product security roadmap.
• Establish risk-based prioritization for security features.
• Partner with security leadership to raise organizational maturity.
• Establish secure design principles for development stages.
• Raise the security bar through code and design reviews.
• Innovate threat modeling to surface vulnerabilities at scale.
• Architect secure-by-default tools and libraries.
• Drive incident triage and translate findings into solutions.
• Mentor and lead junior engineers in the Security org.
