Job description

Overview

Come join the QuickBooks Emerging Mid-Market Marketing Team as a Staff Product Marketing Manager focused on Onboarding. Intuit's Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) is dedicated to delivering a portfolio of solutions that help businesses thrive at every stage of growth — from solopreneurs to mid-market — across accounting, payroll, time tracking, payments, bill pay, lending, and more.

Overview

The Emerging Mid-Market Marketing team is seeking a Staff Product Marketing Manager to own the onboarding experience for QuickBooks Advanced customers, in service of one of Intuit's 3 Big Bets: Disrupt the Small Business Mid-Market. A customer's first weeks on Advanced set the trajectory for retention, expansion, and lifetime value, and this role is responsible for making that experience as fast and effective as possible. The ideal candidate is a customer-obsessed marketer who combines strong execution with the ability to use data and customer insight to continually improve the onboarding journey, partnering closely with Product, Product Growth, Sales, and Customer Success to bring it to life.

Responsibilities
  • Own the onboarding strategy: Define the end-to-end onboarding journey for new Advanced customers, from signup through first value, setting the strategic direction that Product, Product Growth, and Lifecycle teams build against
  • Ground activation strategy in data: Continually mine customer and usage data to pinpoint where customers stall or drop off, and use those insights to define what the product and positioning need to solve
  • Partner across Product and Product Growth teams: Work closely with Product Management and Product Growth to shape onboarding flows, in-product education, personalization, and setup experiences, bringing the customer and market perspective into every product decision that touches onboarding
  • Define the onboarding narrative and value proposition: Own the positioning and value story customers hear from signup through first value, giving Sales, Customer Success, and Lifecycle Marketing the strategic foundation to build their messaging, assets, and playbooks against
  • Measure and report on onboarding health: Define and track the key metrics that show whether onboarding is working, and use them as the evidence base for what to prioritize next
  • Lead with experimentation: Bring a strong bias toward testing — treat onboarding as a living set of product and positioning hypotheses, and let results, not assumptions, determine which bets scale
Qualifications
  • BA/BS required, MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, or a related customer‑lifecycle role
  • Proven ability to use customer and usage data to identify friction points and translate them into concrete improvements
  • Demonstrated experience partnering cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to ship improvements to the customer experience
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear, customer‑facing messaging as well as align stakeholders internally
  • Comfort working in ambiguity, with a bias toward testing and iterating rather than waiting for a perfect plan
  • Fluent in a range of AI tools with demonstrable experience incorporating them into your workflow
